Inside the Arctic Cathedral
The correct title for the building is Tromsdalen Church and is a parish Lutheran Church. The building was originally designed by Jan Hovig to have plain glass windows in both the front and back of the building. However, after the building was completed, the church board decided to put in a stained glass window. Jan Novig never visited the church again.
The big chandeliers make getting a good picture of the stained glass window impossible. On some of the postcards, the picture was taken from a ladder with the front light taken down. I don't have enough pull to get that kind of a picture!
