Phone booths used to be everywhere. Even Superman needed a phone booth! Then more homes installed phones. Phone booths were quite often vandalized or ripped apart for the money in the pay phone. The government decreed that telephone companies had to let privately owned phone booths onto their network. Then came cell phones … the figurative straw that broke the camel’s back. Today phone booths are difficult to find and even when found, they’re usually abandoned like this one out in the middle of nowhere in southeastern Idaho.
